We are seeking a dedicated Recreation Assistant to join our team.
As a Recreation Assistant, you will work with the Recreation Director in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by organizing and facilitating recreational activities.
This position is based in a senior housing facility and requires schedule management, event planning, and an understanding of aging issues.
Duties:
- Plan and implement a variety of recreational activities for residents, including games, crafts, exercise programs, and social events - Communicate with outside agencies, vendors to provide programming - Maintain accurate records of resident participation in recreational activities - Ensure the safety and well-being of residents during all activities - Assist with the setup and cleanup of activity areas Requirements:
- Previous experience in senior housing is preferred - Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage schedules effectively - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to work well in a team environment Job Type:
